At ROADTRAFFICDEFENCE.COM we have a range of fee structures available tailor made to suit the specific needs of our clients including claiming through insurance, Legal Aid and competitive private fees.
We understand that our clients want the best specialist legal representation available at a cost which is affordable to them and we have a fee structure to suit you.
Due to the volume of cases we manage each year, we have also agreed special rates with expert witnesses; you decide what you can afford.
Below is some information on some of the fee structures available but if you wish further information or wish to discuss an alternative fee structure, including payment by instalments, please contact us.
Private Fees
Our private legal fees are among the most competitive in the market and depend on the length of proceedings, complexity of the work and the experience of the specific solicitor undertaking the work.
All fees are clearly explained and agreed in advance.
We offer three fee deals:
1. Pay as we go - all work done on a cost per hour basis.
2. Prep and go - fixed preparation fee and time at court charged at an agreed hourly rate.
3. All inclusive - fixed fees regardless of time taken.

It's easy to pay as we accept all credit and debit cards and you can pay by instalments.
Claiming through Insurance
Many of the insurance companies offer benefits within their policies entitling you to free or discounted legal representation for alleged driving offences. Contact us and we will tell you if you have this cover. If so, we may be able to provide our specialist legal services absolutely free of charge to you, as it is paid by your insurers.
Legal Aid
We understand that legal fees are not cheap and although other solicitors shy away from it, ours are happy to assess clients for entitlement to Legal Aid. There are several criteria to satisfy: financial, justice and effect of conviction on others, but if successful, the Scottish Legal Aid Board Legal Aid will cover either part or the full costs of legal representation. That's one less thing to worry about.
